About

The CRAVE Foundation for Women is a non-profit 501c(3) organization established by CRAVE in 2012 to support individuals working towards creating a world where pleasure is a universal human right.

The foundation developed a no-strings-attached grant for individuals working on some of the most pressing forms of gender-based violence and reproductive justice.

The Grants

The grants are a single no-strings-attached $10,000 contribution given to individuals used as they deem best appropriate. With no reporting duties or other requirements for accepting the funds, the foundation pays the grant in a single installment to the individual.

As a no-strings-attached grant, it invests in the nominee's intellectual, social, artistic, and humanitarian endeavors. The grant recognizes that grantees are highly motivated and talented individuals who can allocate their time and resources as they see fit. Our no-strings-attached policy intends to provide recipients with as much freedom as possible to pursue their work.

Funding

Companies can be a positive force for change—from the jobs they create to the customers they support and, ultimately, for the large communities they serve. CRAVE, a luxury vibrator company, has funded the CRAVE Foundation for Women since its inception in 2012.

Selection Process

Grantees are selected thanks to the input of CRAVE employees, its extended community, past grantees, and the foundation's board. Individuals selected exhibited influential work aligned with the non-profit's mission and confidence that the grant and any awareness that comes with its award would benefit them and their work. We are looking to develop a nominating committee to help in the process for future grants.

Awarding to Individuals vs. Organizations

In establishing the foundation, we are humbled to be guided by the incredible organizations that have come before us and continue to do such important work. In offering our grants, we embrace our two core tenets: the boundless ability of the individual and the importance of shining light into unheralded realms. We recognize the relative limits to our resources; nonetheless, we aspire to be a force for change.
